Ciro's is a down to earth family owned restaurant, and people watching is one of the pleasures of dining here. It is fun to see happy customers digging into big bowls of Pasta, foot long Stromboli's, large platters of Pizza and delicious looking Subs.  Maybe it's all the carbs but we always leave Ciro's happy. Some favorites are the Romano ranch pizza, the Chicken parmigiana Sub, the Shrimp basket, and Onion rings.  An especially good deal is the Thursday night Spaghetti special, with salad and garlic bread for under $7.00.

This family run bakery is low key and unpretentious but get ready to be impressed. The scrumptious array of gourmet cupcakes makes it tough to choose just one flavor, and they have sugar free, gluten free and vegan options.  They also have cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, pies and croissants.

My favorites here have been the Latin American specialties. I'm crazy about their Flan and Tres Leches cake, and love trying out items that are new to me such as Alfajor, two shortbread cookies sandwiching a creamy caramel filling.  The desserts are generously portioned, reasonable priced and you may enjoy them in the shop while you access your email via the free wi fi internet access.

And don't forget Dolcery Desserts is a full service bakery that makes cakes for all occasions, choose from the extensive cake menu or design your own unique cake.  Recommended!

A real blast from the past, Baby Jim's has a cool 1950's era sign out front and a menu that makes you feel like time has stood still. Clearly a favorite with the locals, the friendly staff is always busy fixing Biscuits and Burgers, Chili dogs and Shrimp baskets. Order inside and sit on the picnic tables outside and people watch. Recommended: Breakfast biscuits, Bacon cheese burgers, Steak & cheese and made to order Milkshakes.  This is a don't miss Culpeper experience.

A Culpeper landmark Knakal's has been in business for over seventy years. Get there early and line up with the locals in the tiny store front for the freshest baked goods in town.  You won't find any new fangled flavors here, just the old standards done right.
Recommended:  Cinnamon cake donuts, Apple fritters, Eclairs, Glazed donuts, Caramel cake and just about everything else!

A quintessential American style diner, the Country Cafe has long been know as a place to get a good old fashioned breakfast, and a Burger or Barbecue plate at lunch.  They are now serving dinner as well and have expanded their menu to include Seafood. The ambiance is warm and you have your choice of a table, big booth or counter to sit at. The cute retro styled graphics are everywhere, on napkin dispensers, menus and even the floor mat. We stopped by one bustling Saturday morning and soon had hot coffee and menus in hand, ordered the Sausage gravy on a biscuit, and had it in front of us before you could say boo.  A local favorite.

THIS IS A SWEET LITTLE DELI THAT SERVES UP FRESHLY BAKED GOODS, DELI MEATS, CHEESES AND HAS A COOLER FULL OF LOCAL ITEMS SUCH AS FREE RANGE EGGS, TRICKLING SPRINGS CREAMERY MILK, BACON, AMISH BUTTER AND OTHER SPECIALTY FOODS. WHILE YOU'RE THERE FILLING UP A SHOPPING CART FULL OF CINNAMON ROLLS, YEAST ROLLS, SLICED CHEESES AND MORE, YOU ARE BOUND TO WORK UP AN APPETITE.  THIS IS WHEN YOU ORDER ONE OF THEIR DAGWOOD SIZED SANDWICHES ON HOMEMADE BREAD AND ENJOY IT WITH A BOTTLE OF BIRCH BEER ON THE PICNIC TABLES OUT FRONT.

CHINESE AND JAPANESE CUISINE.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND. MY FAVORITES ARE TOFU WITH VEGETABLES, SZECHUAN SHRIMP AND CHICKEN WITH GARLIC SAUCE, BUT YOU REALLY CAN'T GO WRONG. THE DECOR IS PLAIN BUT CLEAN, THEY HAVE ATTENTIVE SERVICE AND THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD. RECOMMENDED!

WE'VE HAD MANY A PIZZA FROM MAMA MAI'S AND THEY ARE CONSISTENTLY GOOD.
 
WE  TRIED SOMETHING DIFFERENT TODAY AND ORDERED THE LUNCH SPECIAL, A 8" SUB OF OUR CHOICE WITH FRIES AND A DRINK.  MY HUSBAND AN I SPLIT LUNCH AND THEY KINDLY PUT OUR SANDWHICH HALVES IN SEPARATE BASKETS AND GAVE US A TON OF FRIES. 
OUR CHEESEBURGER SUB HAD REALLY FRESH BREAD AND RIPE RED SLICES OF TOMATO.  THE FRIES WERE PERFECT, HOT AND CRISPY.  LARGE PORTIONS, GOOD SERVICE, GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!
